Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement (JA) brings business education into classrooms around the world. Research indicated that American high school graduates were profoundly overconfident in their abilities to compete in the global economy. We used that emotional bridge to spark interest and to recruit volunteers at Fortune 1000 companies. HR/PR directors received a kid-folded note in a transparent envelope. The note also doubled as an in-house recruiting poster—additional notes were left on chairs, desks, and washrooms, creating buzz within the company. Everyone was directed to a microsite containing video testimonials from students, volunteers, and corporate executives. There, they could also find the JA office nearest to them.
